Position Summary
We're looking for a Configuration and technical Operations Engineer who will be performing operations and deployments support to test and production environments. This individual will be responsible for the health of our services and entire infrastructure, assisting developers with releases and ensuring we meet our availability and recoverability requirements across multiple environments. You will be helping implement, support and manage the tools, processes and cloud environments to automate our build, test, deploy, and production infrastructure.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Proactive management and administration of our cloud hosting server environment
- The role is for a seasoned support engineer with excellent technical operations skills, including writing shell scripting, changing system configurations, installation of certificates, building and deployments of java based products on Linux environments.
- Perform day-to-day operations of the application support activities for hCentive products which includes rapid response to queues of incoming problem incidents, participate in root cause analysis (RCA) efforts, perform initial analysis and triaging of problem tickets and assists with building up knowledge base articles and documentations.
- Support local and cloud infrastructure for both internal and customer-facing systems
- Build automation into our process and support continuous integration
- Monitor availability and performance of our production applications and environments
- Build and utilize monitoring tools, cookbooks, and checks
- Help facilitate the operation of multiple data centers and the rapid scaling of the DigitalOcean's network
